A Cheltenham landmark for nearly 200 years, Francis Close Hall is home to Education, Humanities and Sciences and houses the innovative Centre for Active Learning, which is constantly developing new education strategies.
Formerly a botanical garden, The Park also embraces the traditional and contemporary, from Regency villas to up-to-date labs. Giving a warm welcome to overseas students, this major business school offers a wide variety of courses. Many of our Management, Leisure, Hospitality and Tourism courses offer an opportunity to take a 48 week work placement within your specialism and with our international links with industry it is possible to do this abroad.
Pittville’s Faculty of Media, Art and Communications boasts industry standard studios and equipment, and guests such as journalist Sir Trevor McDonald and Tony Wadsworth, former Chief Executive of music giant EMI. BBC Radio Gloucestershire’s Cheltenham reporter is based at Pittville Studios, and also contributes to the Broadcast Journalism Degree. Pittville Studios was awarded Skillset Media Academy Partner Status in 2007.
One of the largest providers of sport and exercise programmes in the country, Oxstalls opened in 2002, minutes from the historic heart of Gloucester. At its core is an interprofessional approach to sport, health, and social care.
Established 30 years ago, the London Campus became part of our university in 2003 and offers courses including the Postgraduate Certificate in Education and a Graduate Teacher Programme.
Our departments have established European exchanges in a wide range of countries and also offer students a chance to study part of their second year at an American college or university. The university takes part in the EU funded Erasmus programme, giving you the chance to study in a range of European countries. Study abroad under the scheme for a whole year, and benefit from a tuition fee waiver for the year.
