There is no doubt that Social
Networking has a marmite factor - you either love it or hate it... but
regardless of your own preference, millions of people all over the world
absolutely love it and businesses that ignore Social Networking as a means of
sharing their services do so at their peril, because most of their competitors
will be embracing it...
Facebook is a great example of one
of the most successful global sites. In just six years it has grown to a
staggering global online community of over 400 million members... proof
enough that people are online networking in their droves...
But what if you don’t want to
network globally? What if you have
a physically based business and want to network or advertise to attract local
bread-and-butter customers?
Global online networks will always have a place and are fantastic resources, but
if you are using
online networks to network/advertise your local business, which would be more
useful, a global or a local network full to
the virtual brim with local people?
