Petra was the last bitch in a litter and was gifted to Swindon Animal Sanctuary for rehoming.   She was a square bundle of fur!  As I was running a dog rescue group for the sanctuary at that time, I volunteered to take her in and lead and house train her before we found her a new home.   She was so intelligent and learnt really quickly.  A lovely, sweet, and compared with Bellamy, sleepy dog. 

 

We found her a lovely home with 2 young children and another dog, unfortunately their dog would not accept her.  In her absence Bellamy was suffering depression as he missed her so much.  He was overjoyed to see her again.  So she stayed!   I never regretted it for one minute of her 14 years with us.
